Getting started as crew

Welcome aboard. Here's how to go from invited to clocked in and paid.

1. Complete your profile

Your profile is your card to producers. Add your departments and job titles, and set a day rate for each specialisation — this is the rate that's suggested when a producer searches for crew. The more complete your profile, the easier it is to be found and booked.

You can also add skills, certifications and your bank details (used only on your invoices).

2. Accept your deal

When a producer wants to book you, an offer arrives in your Inbox. Open it to see the day rate, per-diems, dates and any notes. You can:

• Accept the offer,
• Counter with your own terms, or
• Decline.

Accepting isn't quite the finish line — the producer then sends a deal memo (a short digital contract). Open it, fill in any missing details, type your name to sign, and you're confirmed. See Negotiations and Deal memos for the full story.

3. On a shooting day

Go to Today and tap Clock in when you arrive, then Clock out when you wrap. The app times your day and works out your pay automatically — you never calculate anything yourself. You can also log breaks and expenses.

4. Get paid

Once your hours are approved, open the project's Hours & pay tab, pick the approved days, and generate an invoice. You can follow its status there until it's paid.
