Deal memos
A deal memo is the short digital contract that locks in what you negotiated. It turns an accepted offer into a confirmed booking.
How signing works
- Once an offer is accepted, the producer opens the memo, fills in any missing company details, types their name to sign, and sends it.
- The crew member opens it, completes their own details (full name, tax number, IBAN, address), types their name to accept and sign.
- The booking is now confirmed.
Typing your name is your signature — it's legally binding and timestamped. For that reason a crew member's name is never pre-filled; you type it yourself.
If the producer is out of crew-days, sending or countersigning the memo is refused until they top up — nothing about the negotiation is lost, and the memo can be signed as soon as they have. Producers: see Crew-day credits.
You can't sign until details are complete
The sign button stays disabled until both the required identity details and the signature are filled in. If the button looks greyed out, scroll up and complete the inline form first.
A frozen snapshot
The memo captures a snapshot of the agreed terms — day rate, per-diems, work rules and dates — at the moment it's signed. Later changes to the project's rules or rates do not rewrite a signed memo. This is also the figure your pay is calculated from.
Finding a signed memo
After signing, both sides can find the memo any time in the project's Hours & pay tab, where it opens read-only and can be printed or saved as a PDF.
